(This is not a sponsored review. I was curiously interested to give this a try.)
I was was online looking for any sort of herbal remedy for my jaw, which has remained locked since the beginning of July. I got sidetracked and started looking at natural and herbal remedies for lots of different ailments. On one of the websites I was on, I saw an ad for AddieUp. I'm not going to lie, it was the name that made me click on it. Not very subtle, but I'm sure that's what they were going for. What's different about AddieUp compared to it's doctor prescribed cousin, Adderall, is that AddieUp is composed of herbal extracts, as opposed to amphetamine salts.
* Yerba Mate- Key benefits include increased mental clarity and focus, as well as mood elevation.
* Guarana- Amazon Indian Tribes have used this for centuries for energy, endurance and brain power.
* Nootropics- which help to stimulate nerve growth to the brain
I am clearly an un-medicated case of ADD. I have the attention span of a four year old. I am easily distracted. I begin hundreds of projects and never finish any of them. I procrastinate everything until the very last second. I never stop daydreaming. It gets a little embarrassing when Gage asks me a question about something that was mentioned in church, but my mind is a million miles away. I have been this way for my entire life. My notebooks at school were always filled with doodles and never class notes. I was still an A/B occasionally C student, but I often wonder how I would have done if my brain worked a little differently.
So yeah, about AddieUp. I was intrigued enough to give it a try. About thirty minutes after I took my first capsule I felt like this fog was lifted. I have a major problem with living in my head, and I felt like it kind of pushed me back down to earth. And I could definitely tell I had more energy, especially since my allergies have been really bad lately and that always makes me feel like a sloth.
I don't know about you all, but from around 1-2pm is my lethargic time every day. If I don't keep myself busy I will end up reading on the couch and falling asleep. I haven't taken AddieUp every day, but I have on the days that I could feel the sleepiness coming on, and knew I had stuff I needed to get done. It definitely perks me back up, but not to where I am jittery or anxious. And I really feel like I can concentrate on one single task instead of bouncing around. Like I have tunnel vision. Plus, there was no crash. And unlike energy shots, I had no problem going to sleep at night. If I drink an energy shot after around noon, I won't be able to sleep that night. Same thing goes with any amount of caffeine after around 3 pm.
(I never did find a good TMJ remedy.)
