what i wore wednesday

1.16.2013

The weather has been crazy lately. The weekend was unseasonably warm for January in Alabama. It was cloudy and in the mid 70s. But then by Sunday night a cold front (and flash flood) came through, and it's been in the 30s and 40s. Brrr. Make up your mind!
Here is what I wore to church on the strangely warm Sunday- dress: Ross, boots: Burke's, necklace/earrings: Forever 21

This is what I wore on one of the super cold and rainy days....to go shopping for a bathing suit. tank: Old Navy, sweater/boots: Burke's, jeans/scarf/beanie: Forever 21.

I didn't even realize that I had a color scheme going on this week until I uploaded my pictures. Let me tell you something about shopping for a bathing suit- I hate it. I had a suit that I bought about three years ago, and I loved it. But I searched high and low and cannot find it anywhere. I remember the last time I wore it was when we went camping in August. So I'm afraid maybe I left it at the campsite and it's gone forever? Who knows. My chest is nonexistent. And then my waist and rear are two completely different sizes. A medium will fit on my waist, but it kind of looks like my bottom is trying to eat my bathing suit. :-/ Not a pretty sight. Or I could buy a large, and it would fit my derriere, but be saggy on my hips. Maybe I could make swimsuits with suspenders a trend? I've seen stranger things catch on. So when I find a suit that I like, I hang on for dear life. RIP old swim suit. You were very loved for three years.

I can't believe you are a mom. You look about fifteen in these pictures. (is that a bad thing to say? you are so CUTE) but you look so young! Please tell us all your secrets. Also, I LOVE your frumpy hat. Where did you get it? And you definitely know how to color coordinate.

As for bathing suits, I have the opposite problem. A M will fit me in the bust, but since I'm pear shaped, I need a L or XL for the bottoms. I usually just wear shorts, because I hate wearing bathing suit bottoms.

Good luck. Let us know what you find!

Ha ha ha, my mom totally had a suspender swimsuit in the 80s! There is a photo somewhere that I love so, so much. The swimsuit was black and white striped with neon green trim, the suspenders were neon green.

Oh man, it rained the entire time we were driving through Alabama, and it was cold too. Miserable driving weather!

I hate bathing suit shopping too, but I do like your second outfit!

You are so cute. Love that dress and that cute scarf and beanie really make the second outfit! I'm growing tired of crazy weather too! Over here it's been 0-10 degrees for a couple weeks now! Spring come soon!

Ooohhhhh swimsuits. Joy of joys. I've had my swimsuit bottoms since high school, and woe to me if I ever lose them! My bottoms are board shorts, which are perfect for a self-conscious girl like me. Maybe you could go the short route too?

Those outfits are perfect on you.
That dress is absolutely beautiful on you, like so, so beautiful. :)

I hate shopping for swimsuits too. It's such a pain. Maybe swimsuit bottoms that tie on the side? Good luck!
