what i wore wednesday: same scarf, different day

Every winter it seems like there is one item of clothing or accessory that gets more wear than anything else. Two years ago it was my blue flannel shirt. Last year it was my mustard colored beanie. (Although I still wear it pretty regularly.) And this year it's a scarf. I wear it all the time. I feel like I can be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and throw on a scarf, and suddenly I look like I gave 50% more effort in how I look. When in actuality, it only took 5 seconds.

Here is what I wore to take the boys to Early Works and the park. AND THEN...I wore this again a couple days later to Memaw's birthday party:

top: Goodwill, scarf/earrings/jeans: Forever 21, boots: Urban Original

Here is what I wore to church:

dress/scarf/tights: Forever 21, cardigan: Wet Seal, boots: Urban Original, earrings: Earthbound Trading Company

I realize that my dress and tights kind of clash, but I don't think they looked as bad in 'real life.' But I kind of just clash with the fence to begin with.
